Empire’s first season was so hot on your sets… that the music from the series may have a chance to do the same through your speakers… The song “Good Enough” co-written and co-produced by Timbaland is finding support at radio… But… Can that buzz last now that the series first seson concluded?…
According to Billboard… While “Good Enough” is the first song from Empire to land on a Billboard chart based solely on radio performance, it and other tracks from the show have logged noteworthy download and streaming totals following their inclusion in respective episodes.
Empire is rumored to return perhaps as early as this fall… We’ll see how long the music can survive it’s absence from your sets…
Music is timeless… This we all know… But music is only timeless if people know about it… That’s not exactly true either… You can love your own music and it can be timeless to just you… Well… Thanks to the Internet, more music is becoming timeless… Artists that never made it big or whose music never even scratched the surface, is available to whomever is willing to take 3-4 minutes to listen to it… And if it strikes you as dope, well, you can leave a comment and tell the world that too…

The other day I’m reading comments on Youtube… The group Ill Biskits… the song “Hypnotic Blessings”
The comments were crazy… “Classic banger” “Loving this shit!” and “I don’t know, but this sounds like one of the best rap songs ever made”… And that ‘best’ reference is to Hip-Hop now and then… Not just 1996… People are now discovering how talented artists were that never made it… It’s as if the Ill Biskits music came out today, they could get a significant buzz… No, really…
One of the craziest things about the Ill Biskits album that never came out on Atlantic records, in the mid 90’s was the production… It was done by some of the dopest producers in the game… DITC’s Lord Finesse and Buckwild… and Jesse West from 3rd Eye… Tony L and Myke Loe rounded out the list of producers… Finesse hit the group with the filthy track “Let em Know” and the underground classic “22 Years”…
Buckwild’s “A Better Day” is a must listen… The album is now all over the Internet receiving it’s just due… And comments like… ‘Why didn’t this group blow up?’ and ‘Their shit is incredible’ leaves for lengthy discussions about what could have been… and what should have been… Their music was incredible then too but that’s just the way things go in music…
Luckily for the Ill Biskits and every other obscure artist out there… The Internet is here to save the day and make more music timeless…

According to Billboard… the rap duo Run the Jewels was attacked onstage Monday during a performance at South by Southwest in Austin, Texas, briefly interrupting their set at the Spotify house event.
Radio.com reports… It’s not clear what exactly happened or why, but mid-set an unidentified man came onstage and approached the pair, attempting to take a swing at El-P. His partner, Killer Mike, spotted the would-be assailant and intercepted him, while the band’s crew members intervened and got him out of there.
